Terms of Service

1. Scope and acceptance

These Terms apply to greencandlecake.com, Green Candle Cup, Sprite Doctor and Jitter Doctor (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to follow these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Services.

2. Free public test

Green Candle Cup is currently provided as a free public test and is still being developed. Features, balancing, characters, game modes, progression systems, limits and availability may change as the game is tested and improved.

We may fix bugs, rebalance features, perform maintenance or change technical systems when reasonably necessary to operate, secure or improve the Services. Where applicable, your mandatory rights under consumer law remain unaffected.

3. Accounts and player information

You are responsible for using your account and account-access methods appropriately. Do not intentionally impersonate another person, misuse another person's account, or attempt to obtain another user's login credentials.

Player names, team names and other user-provided content must not be used to harass others, unlawfully impersonate someone, publish sensitive personal information, or distribute unlawful content.

4. Fair play and prohibited conduct

You may not intentionally interfere with the normal operation of the Services. This includes cheating, exploiting vulnerabilities for an unfair advantage, manipulating match results or rewards, using unauthorized automation to abuse gameplay systems, attacking the infrastructure, bypassing technical limits, or deliberately disrupting other players.

Reasonable action may be taken to protect the game and its users, including correcting invalid game state, limiting abusive activity, or restricting access when there is a legitimate security, abuse or fair-play reason. Such measures do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

5. Teams, chat and community features

If you use Team Chat or other social features, you are responsible for the content you submit. Do not post unlawful, threatening, abusive or privacy-invasive content. Do not share passwords or unnecessary sensitive personal information through the game.

Content may be restricted or removed, and access to community features may be limited, where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, or keep the service operational and safe.

6. Game progress and virtual items

The game may include progression, characters, cards, coins, diamonds, rankings and other virtual game elements. During the public-test stage, game systems may be rebalanced or corrected when reasonably necessary, including to fix bugs, exploits or invalid rewards.

Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory legal rights you may have. If paid products or services are introduced in the future, additional purchase information or terms may apply before a purchase is made.

7. Sprite Doctor and Jitter Doctor

Sprite Doctor and Jitter Doctor are free development tools intended to help inspect, analyze or repair sprite and animation files. Processing is designed to take place locally in your browser as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use the files and material you process with these tools. The tools can assist with technical processing, but you remain responsible for checking exported results before using them in a project.

8. Intellectual property

Except for content owned by users or third parties, the Green Candle Cup game, original branding, artwork, game assets, interface elements and original code are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Access to the Services gives you permission to use them for their intended purpose; it does not transfer ownership of those materials to you.

You retain whatever rights you already have in files or content that you lawfully bring to Sprite Doctor or Jitter Doctor.

9. Availability and development

We aim to keep the Services working, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, bugs, internet failures, third-party service failures, security incidents or development changes can temporarily affect access or functionality.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

10. Privacy

Our processing of personal information is described separately in the Green Candle Cup Privacy Policy. Please read that policy for information about data processing, browser storage, service providers and your privacy rights.

11. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when the Services or applicable requirements change. The “Last updated” date will be changed when the Terms are revised. Material changes will not remove mandatory rights provided by applicable law.

12. Applicable law and mandatory rights

These Terms are intended to operate consistently with applicable law. Nothing in them is intended to take away mandatory consumer or other statutory rights that apply to you. Any applicable mandatory rules concerning jurisdiction or consumer protection remain unaffected.
